Daughters of the Sacred Heart.

A Maltese nun, Marie Teresa Nuzzo, founded the Congregation of the Daughters of the Sacred Heart in Malta, in 1903.

The Sisters' main mission is to educate and care for children and underprivileged people. Since its establishment, the Congregation cared for or-phan children in Malta. As the Congregation grew, its mission spread to developing countries: India in 1948, Libya in 1968 and Kenya in 1980.
